Our Israeli WhiteSource Compliance & Security team continues to expand and we are looking for talented Data Support Engineers passionate about the challenges surrounding security and compliance associated with the use of open-source software (OSS).

The ideal candidate is innately curious and has a high aptitude for quickly learning the SCA and the open-source industry which is getting used more and more in today’s development technologies.

This position offers both research and customer-facing roles, including understanding customers’ needs and delivering solutions as a first-line support representative.

Following income feedback and meetings with our customers and also internal collaboration with our R&D, Product, Customer Success, and Technical Services teams, we keep developing our mainly knowledge database of open-source libraries, reflecting their manifest and compliance data presented to customers to keep their legal compliance safe.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep research and analysis of open source libraries and package managers to maintain and improve the biggest knowledge DB coverage.
  • Communicate directly with customers on technical data issues.
  • Work closely with the teams in the Customer Experience, Technical Support, and Engineering departments to drive customer satisfaction and product improvements.
  • Work closely with the Technical Support team to address customer requests.

Desired Skills:

  • B.Sc. in Scientific discipline – Must.
  • Experience in DB – MongoDB, MySQL – An advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment.
  • High-level English- writing, reading, and speaking.
  • Knowledge in Java development – An advantage.
  • Excellent communication ability.
  • Experience in working with customers – An advantage.
  • Independent, Hard Worker, Fast learner & team player.
  • Willing to work on flexible hours.
  • Willingness to work Mon.-Fri.– An advantage.
